August Contest

Starting immediately and concluding at 11:59 pm ET on August 30th 2005, design and submit a Hireling for the LSJ Campaign. Submissions must meet the rules for Hirelings from the LSJ Cohort Document (given below)and must be in good taste. Players whose entries are accepted will receive LSJ Player Reward Points, redeemable in the future for campaign goodies. The Player who submits the best entry as chosen by our panel of staff judges will receive their Hireling as an official certed employee for their PC. Other accepted submissions will be given out at upcoming conventions.

Rules for Hirelings:

* Hirelings use 24 points for their stats, as opposed to 34 points for PCs.
* Hirelings must be of 1st - 3rd level.
* Hirelings must be of a standard PC race from Core Rulebook 1. Elven and Half-elven Hirelings must be from one of the non-certed Elven Subraces listed in the LSJ Rules Primer (Forest, Sea or Desert).
* Hirelings may only have one of the following classes from Core Rulebook 2: Aristocrat, Commoner, Expert or Warrior
* Submissions should include full stats, skills, feats and a brief paragraph detailing the Hireling's history/reason for being in Amthydor or accepting employment from the PC
* Hirelings are non-combatants
* Hirelings do not possess magic items unless they receive them from their PC employer
