Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Let it be known that the Lord Monarch has scheduled a series of five challenges in which groups of 4-6 adventurers may participate. The challenges will be held on an upcoming extended fortnight and can last from six to eight hours each. The Lord Monarch asks that the adventuring community come forth and indicate their pleasure of challenge dates by submitting a paper ballot. The Lord Monarch also hopes that members of the adventuring community will volunteer to guide their brethren in these pursuits against evil and the gathering of coin, and will indicate their willingness as well by submitting a paper ballot.

What this means: For a little over two weeks starting Saturday, November 28th, we will be running Weekend In Shining Jewel Online. Please indicate, by visiting the LSJ Campaign Yahoo list to sign up for your playing and judging preferences by signing up in the polls in the poll section of this group. This is a full WISJ convention and will be making a Mystical Marketplace available.

Players that wish to participate in the Marketplace should...

1) State your interest in participating in MM. Email a scan of your PCs last two adventure logs to lsj-market@theshiningjewel.com.
2) I will send you a pdf of the latest MM doc.
3) Decide what items you wish to buy/upgrade/create. Write back to the above email address with what you want to purchase or create. Include your character level, as well as necessary feats and spells.
4) I verify with Catie that you are registered and have paid for WiSJ, calculate the cost of your items, and write back to you.
5) You approve the transaction, and the transaction is locked. No changing your mind. Staff just does not have the time to be re-doing transactions because your PC made more money and now wants to add another upgrade.
6) Email scans of certs to be traded in to the above email address. Mail original certs to be traded in, to me at Wayne Straiton 43 Hill St. Barre VT 05641. These certs should be marked on the back "Traded to Mystical Marketplace" and signed.
7) I generate a new log sheet for you from a writeable pdf log doc. This log sheet and the certs I create are printed and mailed to you with your WiSJ game play certs and logs at the end of the convention.

Make notes on the side for any non-WISJ games you play, and log them after you get the WISJ logsheets from Staff. When you email a scan of your logsheets, those are the numbers we are going to use for GP, XP, Journal Entry Number, and Journal Page Number. Don't then send us an updated logsheet. We don't want it.

There is a $2.50 cost associated with the convention and that includes participation in all events as well as the cost of mailing the certs (however if 3-5 players have their certs mailed to a single address, the cost is only a single payment of $5.00). No certs will be mailed out until all judge paperwork is returned and the con receives payment from the attendee. The paypal address for payments is catiestraiton@charter.net. For people without paypal access, email catiestraiton@charter.net for the snail mail address.

The schedule is contingent upon the availability of judges. The convention staff reserves the right to cancel a slot if 1) there aren't enough players or 2) there isn't a judge to run the table. Tables will only be cancelled as a last resort. In the event of a judge shortage convention judges that have signed up to play an event will be given priority over non-judges.

Judge rewards will also be available for those that judge for us and rewards may increase based on the number of slots that are completed.

he following Metagame activities will be available from November 28 through December 31st 2009:
Mystical Marketplace/Magic Item Creation
Bestiary
Hirelings
Lifestyle Residences

LSJ75 Be Careful What You Wish For
by David Samuels.
Sometimes wishes do come true, but not always as they're expected to. It seems as if someone's wish for Amthydor is about to come true, or is it? Inquiring minds want to know and the fate of at least 1 prominent person hangs in the balance. A one-round Legends of the Shining Jewel Pathfinder RPG event for heroes of levels 1-15

LSJ77 In The Navy Now…
by Daniel Lewis.
Trouble on the seas is not new, but usually that trouble doesn’t make its way to you; which makes this request for aid from the Amthydoran Navy that much more puzzling. Sadly, the Diamond Legion doesn’t request help when it is a simple thing to accomplish. A one-round Legends of the Shining Jewel Pathfinder RPG event for heroes of levels 5-14
